THE CAFE

The Art of Coffee
MADE IN LAOS

All our coffee is sourced locally from coffee farms near Luang Prabang and on Bolaven Plateau. Why? For the simple fact that Laos-grown tastes great and is produced sustainably.

Extracting the best flavors from coffee begins with terroir, the unique geography and climate of the farm and the farmer’s cultivation practices. Terroir is a common term in wine, and we find it also applies to coffee. With its fertile volcanic soil, high elevation and cool climate, Laos offers incredibly diverse coffee terroir, producing beans that boast bright fruit notes, light acidity and sweet aromatics.

VINTAGE CRAFT

Our craft pays tribute to coffee’s rich history, to the world’s centuries-old obsession with making the best cup of coffee. Our collection of vintage coffee makers is not just for show -- we actually use them to bring out the bold, bright and lively flavors of Lao coffee. Taste the difference between Siphon coffee, cold press, Moka pot, or sip perfect affogato from our Italian espresso maker. Once you’ve sipped coffee made from a Siphon or steamy cold brew tower, you’ll be hooked!

OUR PARTNERS

How coffee beans are dried, roasted, ground and brewed also play a big part. At each stage, we look for producers who are diligent and thoughtful in how they prepare the soil, care for the plants, and process the fruit. Healthy farmers and healthy fruit means good coffee!

‘Delicious Coffee’

One of the best coffee, good for both hot and rainy day in Luang Prabang. Went early in the morning after some walk around the town. No one around and the place is really beautiful with friendly staff who knows well about the coffee.

‘A coffee show!’

The Siphon coffee process is a great spectacle. Good frozen drinks as well as coffee. Heard from colleagues that this place opens very early and is a good place to watch the monks pass for alms.
